In the beginning, Aaron and Rhonda were baking cakes for friends and family out of their 600 SF apartment in OKC. They went on to sell their pastries at local farmer’s markets hoping to gain experience and feedback from the community and to fund their dream of opening a bakery. Now they get to make delicious and nutritious baked goods every week at Jack’s Bakehouse.

“It’s our daily desire to serve people. We want to bring quality, creativity, and excellence in everything we do.” – Aaron & Rhonda

Scissortail Park

Scissortail Park is a 70-acre urban oasis stretching from the heart of downtown Oklahoma City to the banks of the Oklahoma River. The entire park is now open, with the Upper Park and Lower Park seamlessly connected by the iconic Skydance Bridge. Visitors can enjoy native prairie grasses, colorful flower gardens, and tree-lined walkways, as well as paddle boating on the lake. The park also hosts concerts on the 6-acre Great Lawn, a Night Market on select evenings, and a weekly Farmer’s Market on Saturdays.

OKC Thunder & Paycom Center

Home to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Paycom Center has been at the heart of downtown since 2008, hosting over 1,200 events and welcoming more than 10 million fans. From Thunder games to concerts by top artists, the arena keeps the city buzzing.

In 2025, the Thunder captured Oklahoma City’s first NBA Championship, defeating the Indiana Pacers in a thrilling Game 7. Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the young team delivered record-breaking play and a downtown parade that united the city.

Game nights continue to energize downtown—filling streets and venues, boosting local pride, and drawing visitors and investment. Living here puts you steps from the roar of 18,000+ fans and all the action without traffic hassles.

A new $900M+ state-of-the-art arena breaks ground in early 2026, with completion expected in summer 2028. Designed by MANICA Architecture, it will feature a 360-degree glass wall and become the Thunder’s next home, elevating downtown excitement even further.

OKC’s Transformative MAPS Program

Since 1993, Oklahoma City’s MAPS (Metropolitan Area Projects) program has transformed the city through community-backed investment in sports, recreation, cultural, and convention facilities. Funded by a temporary one-cent sales tax, MAPS has allowed the city to build world-class projects debt-free, revitalizing downtown and improving quality of life citywide.

The latest phase, MAPS 4, a $978 million, 16-project initiative, continues that legacy with investments in the Innovation District, a multipurpose outdoor stadium, beautified corridors, and programs supporting neighborhoods and human services. MAPS 4 ensures Oklahoma City remains vibrant, connected, and positioned for long-term growth.
